SugBrain Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “our company”) has compiled a database of information on bioscience-related research facilities and laboratories and their researchers based on information publicly available on the Internet. We call this database the “Laboratory Database (LDB).”
Personal information (researcher information) in the LDB is collected and handled in accordance with the following policy.

The researcher information in the LDB is collected from information publicly available on the Internet and compiled into a database. Researcher information that has not been publicly available is not stored in the LDB.

The researcher information items we obtain from “public information” are as follows:
Name, name in katakana, position in affiliated organization, email address, research content, amount of allocated competitive funding
■How we use the information we collect
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provision, acquisition and review of information regarding research products and services
- Provision, acquisition and examination of academic information in research
- Information technology for research institutes, laboratories, and researchers
- Analysis and investigation of the actual conditions and needs of research institutes, laboratories, and researchers
- Search and display information on research institutes, laboratories, and researchers on the web service “JBIO” operated and managed by our company
- Other business incidental to the above
■Information provided to third parties
We will provide the collected researcher information to research product manufacturers and distributors, research product wholesalers, etc., after taking appropriate measures to prevent leaks.
■Regarding the handling of LDB by third parties to whom it is provided
When providing the data described above to third parties such as research product manufacturers and distributors and research product wholesalers, the Company will, in accordance with the contract with the relevant recipient, limit the purposes of use to the following:
- Provision, acquisition, and review of information on research products and services
- Provision, acquisition, and review of academic information in research
- ITization of information on research institutions, laboratories, and researchers
- Analysis and investigation of the actual conditions and needs of research institutions, laboratories, and researchers
- Other tasks incidental to the above
